Carson City is played in 4 rounds and in each one of them the players choose a character (there are 7 available) that gives certain advantages, after that cowboys are placed on action fields on the board to build Carson city. Players can claim ground, erect special buildings, houses or construct roads. When there are several players on 1 action field, a duel is fought. During play, money (to construct) & points can be earned. The player who earns most points wins the game. |

Players are competing in the U.S. auto industry in the early 20th century, purchasing factories that turn out low-, medium- and high-valued vehicles, starting with the 1893 Duryea and moving up the time-line from there.
Each player knows a portion of the market demand each round and must make his purchasing and manufacturing decisions based on that.
As newer models make their way onto the market, they sell first compared with older models. What’s more, older factories give inefficiency cubes as time passes, encouraging you to keep pace with technology.
To get money, you need to build cars with your factories, but if you build more than there is demand you lose not only the money spend to make them, but you gain inefficiency cubes that hurt you for the rest of the game. |

A game of world exploration and empire building. You represent a European empire colonizing the Mediterranean and shipping to all parts of the world to increase the empire's glory and status in Industry, Culture, Finance and Politics. When a region opens up (i.e. the shipping lanes are full) a player can colonize, attack or retrieve resources from that region. The game plays easily as each turn a player builds a building giving him a special action or increasing one of his main statistics, and gets a number of people with which to activate buildings for special actions (Ship, Occupy, Attack, Draw or Pay). Increased skill in Politics allow the player to hold cards that help increase his statistics and glory. |

Players play the part of rich shipowners who, under his patronage, aim to achieve prestige and riches. To succeed in the enterprise, they must manage the money and actions at their disposal in order to hire captains, recruit crew, build ships, launch them and send them to the landings of Natal, Terra de Boa Gente, Mozambique, Malindi, Mombasa and Calicut.
For each ship sent, Players will receive an immediate reward and will gain prestige (Victory Points). The farther the ship is sent, the lower the compensation, but the higher the victory score that the player will earn. |

In 1607 Monteverdi’s Opera La Favola d’Orfeo had its worldwide premiere. Over the following centuries, Europe was taken over. In the board game Opera, the players bring Opera to the public. In Venice, Vienna, Berlin, London, Paris and Milan great Opera houses arise. Opera leads the players through the periods of Baroque, Classicism and Romanticism. The epic music of six famous composers Händel, Monteverdi, Mozart, Beethoven, Wagner and Verdi will bring the public to their Opera houses. |

Though we have a late start, this would not spoil the fun.
The website is back up and running. We had some serious problems after an software upgrade. But it seems that we managed to resolve the major problems and can start publishing again.
Second, and most important, is that we are busy with our shortlist. As soon as we receive confirmations of our sponsors to be, we will let you know. We have some games spotted. The only problem is that most of them tend to be games with a longer playing time. So if you happen to run into a challenging game with a short playing time (max 60 minutes), let us know. On the forum there will be a thread.
Nice dice,
